Description
Amazon Freight (AF) is disrupting the multi-billion dollar trucking industry by building technical solutions that allow external customers to tap into the scale of Amazon's logistical network for their transportation needs.
Amazon Freight Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Team owns systems which can generate forecasted prices for TL and LTL freight transportation request for winning a contract bid with third party enterprises. Contract Pricing is a critical part of the Amazon Freight business and directly impacts the bottom line and profitability of the business.
In this team you will work on building system that can reliably and accurately predict prices for different Amazon Freight product offering to our customers. At Amazon Freight CLM team you will work with systems that consumes a large amount to data to predict the cost and price using Machine Learning models. You will be in charge of integrating ML models produced by Amazon Freight Research Science team with pricing systems and other systems in Amazon Freight ecosystem. You will build and own ML infrastructure which supports these ML models in production.
This is an SDE 2 role and no prior ML experience is required for this role. On-the-job training is provided to ramp up engineers on building ML infrastructure.
You will also work closely with product managers to build features, applications and tools to support managing pricing systems as the business continues to grow.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
