Amazon Web Services has an opening for a seasoned TPM looking to help AWS Support launch new Generative AI products and features. As a TPM overseeing this space, you will be responsible for understanding the vision of these programs and the potential they have to impact our customers on a global scale. The scope for this role will include collaboration with AWS leadership, finance, and PMT stakeholders, focusing on streamlining operating procedures and engagement models, developing cross-organizational strategy, and building mechanisms and automation for efficiency. This role focuses on full lifecycle program & project management, using data analysis to drive continuous improvement. You will use your influence skills to drive conversations that make AWS better for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

As a TPM, you will:

• Lead strategic initiatives across many Amazon teams that will provide developers with high-impact improvements.

• Draw on your knowledge of software development and emerging Generative AI technology to hold a high standard of excellence for the developer experience.

• Drive technical requirements, design, and delivery planning, working across engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure successful launch of initiatives.

• Enable transparency and decision-making across AWS executive leadership by providing critical communication and clear status of the initiatives you own.

• Apply your expertise, problem solving skills, and creativity to add value and diversity of thought to our team.

• Manage stakeholders, proactively understand risks, and derisking them or escalating as appropriate.

The Senior TPM role requires excellent leadership skills, strong technical expertise and hands-on project management skills. The right candidate will be adept at writing technical specifications, owning program schedules from design to release, and partnering effectively with other teams across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

• 3+ years of software development experience

• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

• Understanding of distributed architecture, core AWS services and/or experience in LLMs and Generative AI tooling

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
