Amazon Senior Supply Chain Manager, AMZL Supply Chain in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented Senior Supply Chain Manager to oversee Supplier Development Engineers and support supplier sourcing for our Material Handle Equipment (MHE) Automation program. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, contract manufacturing, change management, and system supplier and/or technology sourcing. Our Senior Supply Chain Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with our key suppliers and business partners to enable and support project execution.

  • Review supplier designs and proposals to ensure that scope, pricing, and schedules support Amazon business needs.

  • Support consistent work package sourcing processes consistent with Amazon sourcing policies.

  • Facilitate suppliers’ understanding of Amazon global policies, equipment design standards, budget and cost targets, service and quality expectations.

  • Drive suppliers’ continuous improvement and value engineering in support of program’s performance metrics: quality, delivery, capacity, cost and safety.

  • Monitor suppliers’ supply chain, manufacturing, human capital with respect to overall program objectives.

  • Administer change management program that ensures program delivered per supporting commercial agreement with focus on cost, quality, and schedule objectives.

  • Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.

  • Position requires 20% travel

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience, with a focus on network capacity.

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in network capacity processes.

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables at minimum) and familiarity of SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Specific experience in driving process improvements in network capacity.

  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with complex systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large, complex datasets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
