Digital Transformation Platform is one of the key growth areas for Microsoft and our cloud business over the coming years. We are building the next generation of business applications and citizen developer platforms to enable businesses to achieve their digital transformation goals. We are responsible for Dynamics 365, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Portals, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents), Azure Synapse, and other SaaS applications and workloads.

The team you are joining is the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Community Success Team responsible for the engagement, growth and advocacy of our community that helps our customers on Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure products and Microsoft technologies by supporting and growing our worldwide community of users.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Customer Experience Program Manager to lead our efforts to grow, engage and empower a community of users, support and grow our local user groups and events, support our key Influencers (user group leaders, super users, and Microsoft Business Applications MVPs), and facilitate product feedback.

As the Azure Synapse and Data Integration Senior Customer Experience Community Program Manager you will closely partner with your community product manager team, our community design team, product group program managers, and marketing teams to drive strategies to increase user engagement and product satisfaction by deeply engaging with customers via building a strong user community. You need to be obsessed about nurturing a thriving community of our customers and grow Influencers to become raving fans of our Data products.

This is an agile, fast-moving team that is in build-mode for our programs and processes and the role requires creativity, curiosity, emotional intelligence as well as excellent written, verbal communication, and critical thinking skills. You will be one of the faces of Microsoft to our community, this is an out-front role both internally at Microsoft and externally with customers/community. Every day we are shaping our Digital Transformation Platform community for years to come.

You will have a concentration on the Data (Azure Synapse and Data Integration) communities and product teams, and you will also work cross-community with teammates to streamline and build programs and campaigns across all.   • Develop and execute community-based initiatives, procedural documentation and strategy to nurture and grow a high engaged and satisfied community.

  • Build cross group relationships with the Power Platform, Dynamics, Microsoft 365 and Azure community, product and marketing teams and be an effective advocate for the community.

  • Be a share it all and learn it all for the Azure Synapse and Data Integration community using your knowledge of the product to answer questions or have the relationships in place to easily find answers from our product and program management teams.

  • Project manage your extensive ideas across our DTP division and cross-cloud with other community program managers.

  • Drive satisfaction in your community forums for questions answered in a timely and effective manner – establishing rewards and recognition for high-level community members who go above and beyond.

  • Meet with and strategize with your product and product marketing teams on disclosures and our product release waves ensuring our community members are aware of what is new and in our roadmap.

  • Passionately collaborate with your teammates to build solutions and tools to help the running of our community success business with a nod to operational efficiency and eating our own dogfood and then sharing our how we did it with our community.

  • Be the voice of our community, at events, community calls and in our online community and through social media.

  • Create and drive engaging content with community members on our community blog, social media, and YouTube channel.

  • Work with our community platform team on ideas to level up our online communities and consolidate community feedback to help prioritize product investments.

  • Co-create strategy and programs for managing MVP nominations, satisfaction, and programs.

  • Establish and drive key performance indicators for engagement and growth in online communities and user groups. Collaborate with stakeholders to set goals, drive regular reporting and analysis, and be accountable for meeting goals.

  • Assist with our community presence at first party events for our users and influencers. Represent Microsoft and deliver content at first party, non-disclosure, and community events.

  • Promote innovation by creating process and building tools/apps to make the team more effective and efficient.

  • Work cross-division with our partners in Microsoft Tech Community, Azure Community and more.

  • Manage and guide members of our community manager staff team.

  • Participate in the Microsoft Community Council co-chaired by our team.


  • Demonstrated experience in a product marketing, product, program, or community manager role and interacting and growing a technical user community.

  • At least 5 years of experience with building/product/product managing business applications and solutions with Power Platform, Azure or Microsoft 365. Preference for years with Azure Synapse, Power BI, and Data Integration.

  • Knowledge of online community platforms and technologies.

  • Extremely strong Office 365, Microsoft Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Strong collaboration and critical thinking skills.
