AMZL Speed is undergoing growth at an unprecedented level. We offer speed options to our customer at 200+ delivery stations in NA. Our logistics teams are changing the way we interact with customers every single day and solving some of the biggest logistical challenges in the speed, focusing on process and design improvement to continue to expand AMZL network.
Amazon is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. This individual will be the owner of a process/product roadmap and ensuring delivery to the vision of the AMZL Speed. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazons growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution. We are looking for a hands-on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery as well as Operations and Safety to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer to support the speed network.
Key job responsibilities
End to end ownership of a coordinating direction and implementation of new delivery programs into the AMZL Network
Responsible for defining business and use case for new and legacy delivery programs while managing capex associated with program integration
Identify customer needs and develop integrated product solutions to solve the problem
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, understand business problems, city landscapes, scaling factors and dependencies
Deliver impactful projects in a systematic manner
Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
Launch new programs at the network level by leveraging launch playbook and working with multiple stakeholders
Monitor network performance of programs withing your scope by partnering with Ops and ACES team
Drive actions to improve program and process continuously
Provide program updates for WBR, MBR and QBRs
Provide program updates for OP planning process including plan, entitlement, resource requirement, CAPEX/OPEX requirement
A day in the life
Your daily activities includes working with program stakeholders, organizing/joining calls such as WBRs, Team Sync, Doc Review, visiting sites to observe the process and collect the feedback, responding escalations related to programs, preparing program updates for multiple documents including WBR, MBR, QBR.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other STEM field
8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation
Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field
Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects
Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing
Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs
Experience with design and/or implementation automation solutions, such as Conveyors, Sorters, high speed manufacturing and packaging lines, Robotic work cells
Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or program

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
