Position summary T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Managers, Systems Architecture Engineer located in Bellevue, WA will serve as technical lead for the strategy, planning, design, development and launch of high quality, high performance, critical foundational and regulatory device technologies. Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Manage the Technology and Performance Validation team within Product Quality Engineering organization. Lead cross-functional initiatives for development, testing, deployment, and performance of 5G NR technologies including NSA, SA, NRCA and VoNR. Develop and evolve overall device testing strategy by developing Test Plans for New and Existing technologies and features. Responsible for driving end to end performance and quality of T-Mobile device technologies. Evolve the device performance requirements based off changing product types and to meet changing business needs. Manage a team of technical experts responsible for defining T-Mobile's device performance for RF, Battery, Acoustic, Data, Video and Software Reliability. Leverage goal setting, ongoing assessment, coaching and performance evaluation to support performance and behavior objectives for direct and indirect reports. Recognize development needs and create development opportunities within and outside the workgroup. Interface with professional representatives of different vendors/partners to troubleshoot various defects during the testing process and other real-time issues faced by the customers. Regularly review and analyze device's Network and Commercial KPI's. Obtain quotes and negotiate purchase for vendor supplied SW/HW and system features per T-Mobile requirements. Participate in CTIA, PTCRB and other industry forums to drive device performance. Seek out strategic relationships that will increase team output, process accuracy, improve time to market and customer experience. Establish and contribute to beneficial shared goals with cross-functional teams. Leverage the capabilities, insights, and ideas of others. Pursue new and challenging projects to expand knowledge. Seek out new technologies, alternative and best practice solutions to business problems. Foster environment where team members identify problems, risks to continually review key business initiatives and find optimal resolutions. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Skill requirements: (1) Applying Wireless Network Architecture, Technologies, and concepts including GSM, UMTS and LTE to develop device testing strategy and deliver business requirements for leading-edge cellular technologies. (2) Applying wireless industry standards including3GPP, ITUT, and ANSI to ensure device compliance to specifications and develop technical requirements and test plans for advanced device technology features. (3) Applying Radio Air Interfaces to ensure interoperability between cellular network and devices. (4) Working on at least two RF, Protocol and Parametric network simulators from companies including Anritsu, Keysight/Anite, Agilent, Spirent or Rohde & Schwarz) to drive formation of specificat
