Operational Security (OpSec) plays a key role in T-Mobile's Security Program by working with the Enterprise to define, manage, and assess our operational security effectiveness and efficiency, while seeking to reduce Enterprise operational security risks. This OpSec Analyst role contributes to our OpSec Team's success by participating in Enterprise-wide operational security/risk reduction programs to protect intellectual property & trade secrets primarily through the analysis of threats and risks associated with mergers and acquisitions; board & legal department activities; and spectrum auctions. Risk reduction comes through facilitating/leading various OpSec security efforts including partnering with the business units, technical organizations, and third parties to forward new information/physical security opportunities; and providing consultation/research services on a broad range of security topics and issues. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Aid in developing and maintaining operational security (OpSec) program elements including scope definition, key control objectives, partner communication, and metrics. Aid in leading cross-functional/cross-organizational projects and/or pilots supporting OpSec or Corporate Information Security (CIS) initiatives. Partner cross-functionally at multiple levels to accomplish OpSec program initiatives. Establish and maintain relationships with third-parties as necessary to support the OpSec program. Communicate and raise program issues, risks, constraints, and dependencies to the overall benefit of the program. Present security program health to upper management and executives, as appropriate. Lead diverse programs, resolve complex issues, and provide T-Mobile leadership with well-considered opinions, in-depth research, and accurate information for decision making. Think strategically and act tactically, as appropriate. Functional/Technical Skills Excellent understanding of OpSec security best practices and methodologies Able to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across several assignments with little direction Ability to interact and communicate professionally with all levels of staff and management cross-functionally Ability to think strategically, consider what is best for the business and provide input to strategic business objectives to the OpSec and CIS management teams Ability to understand and characterize information security risks and communicate them effectively including the creation of written risk assessments and reports Proven ability to study, learn and evaluate new technologies quickly Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills Competency in MS Office including Word, Project, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint Experience 3 or more years of experience in risk management, intelligence analysis, and/or OpSec programs in a large corporate or similar environment (note: Military/government entity experience may be qualified substitution for corporate environment experience) Demonstrated experience working with multi-functional groups Demonstrated leadership abilities Demonstrated ability to deliver work on time and within budget Education/Training Bachelor's degree from a four year college/university oe equivalent work experience CISSP, CISM and/or CPP Certifications preferred Environmental/Physical Demands Must be willing to
