As the QA/QC Manager, you will oversee the implementation, continuous improvement, and execution of Lydig’s internal quality controls and the project-specific quality program requirements. Your role ensures that all design and construction activities align with established company policies, procedures, systems, and contractual obligations. Serving as the primary point of contact for quality assurance and control, you will manage multiple projects of varying complexities, including public bonded municipal initiatives, school construction, and vital infrastructure projects that shape and strengthen our local communities.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for Quality and quality obligations for a large project or multiple projects, responsible for the quality management duties including quality of the works, material management, documentation and close-out to ensure safe, quality, efficient, effective and profitable project execution.
Responsible for leading and managing quality processes such as work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management, Quality Incident Reports, Lesson Sharing and follow-up inspections.
Reviews construction plans, inspects work, conducts tests, and certifies that all construction activities and materials comply with building codes and contract specifications.
Documents quality assurance measures and maintains daily communication with relevant agencies to ensure ongoing compliance and coordination throughout the project.
Directs inspection, testing and documentation of the work and scopes
Develop and implement tailored inspection and testing plans, quality control strategies, and project-specific procedures, ensuring that every detail aligns with our commitment to excellence.
Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with owners, clients, subcontractors, design partners, and stakeholders, fostering a spirit of partnership and proactive issue resolution.
Champion safety by supporting site teams in adhering to established safety procedures, creating a culture where every project prioritizes well-being and meets safety goals.
Oversee project quality costs and resource allocation, striving to improve as-bid budgets while providing actionable insights to enhance billing returns, mitigate risks, and refine testing accuracy.
Supports field operations and labor staff as necessary.
Qualifications:
Job Skills & Qualifications Required:
AEC Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent related field experience
Minimum 5 years of AEC experience, with 2 years preferred in a Quality role
Good communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and an ability to prioritize, organize and manage time
Preferred; completed the US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management course for contractors.
Exhibit initiative and self-reliance, confidently managing responsibilities and driving results with minimal supervision.
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with a diverse range of individuals, including owners, architects, superintendents, staff, subcontractors, suppliers, third party inspectors, and government officials, fostering collaboration and trust.
Knowledge of established construction standards, proficient in reading plan sheets/shop drawings, researching project specifications and industry standards, and tracking of permit obligations as necessary.
Interpretation of grade stakes and basic understanding of surveying elements related to construction.
Familiarity with Construction Management software such as ACC or Procore.
Physical Abilities:
Must be able to visit various job sites including active construction sites, be able to climb ladders and stairs, traverse uneven terrain, stand for several hours at a time, and navigate rebar reinforced mats.
Vision must be adequate to evaluate working conditions and read detailed documents
Other Requirements:
Current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record as defined by Lydig’s insurance company and vehicle policy, if applicable for auto allowance
Must be able to pass pre-employment checks including a Drug Screen, Criminal Background and possibly Credit check
Lydig is a drug free workplace, and all employees are considered to be in “safety sensitive” positions. All employees will be tested for controlled substances, including cannabis.
The salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $150,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
