AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: As a specialist in high-performance AI accelerators, your primary responsibility is to innovate and optimize software frameworks that enhance the speed, efficiency, and scalability of artificial intelligence algorithms. This role typically sits at the intersection of research and production, requiring you to collaborate closely with both research teams pushing the boundaries of AI algorithms and production teams striving to deploy these algorithms in real-world applications. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will have an interest in following the research space while adapting state-of-the-art ML infrastructure improvements into a robust framework. You will be familiar with modern model architectures beyond the high level structure to lower level compute requirements and techniques for improving inference at scale KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Performance Evaluation - conduct performance evaluation of models with high level analysis of bottlenecks ML Modelling - able to reproduce model computation and evaluate correctness for novel ML architectures. Software Design - simplify model architecture into a usable framework for external vendors with an emphasis on comprehensibility Leadership - be able to delegate subcomponent design and evaluation in a fast moving field PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong programming ability in Python Able to design high level APIs for serving ML models Familiarity with reading academic papers for production implementation Experience in Machine Learning model architecture ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent #LI-EM1 AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies or fee based recruitment services.
