PMO Specialist/Lead – Project Management Office (PMO)

Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

System One is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist/Lead with expertise in project planning, risk management, compliance, or performance analysis. This role is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Bellevue, WA, supporting multiple advanced nuclear projects within the corporate PMO.

Position Overview:

As a key member of the corporate PMO, the PMO Specialist/Lead plays a critical role in ensuring project success by providing specialized guidance, oversight, and performance analysis. Working closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders, this role ensures strategic alignment, mitigates risks, and drives the execution of key project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support specialized project management functions such as planning, scheduling, risk assessment, or compliance oversight, ensuring seamless integration into broader project frameworks.

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI), providing monthly progress metrics and mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, and the PMO to shape and execute corporate-level project strategies.

• Continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and workflows by integrating industry best practices and specialized knowledge.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization and with stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment on project objectives.

• Provide subject matter expertise in planning, risk management, compliance, and performance analysis to address challenges and optimize project outcomes.

• Lead change management initiatives, including training and support for the adoption of new processes and tools.

• Report regularly to the Senior Director of PMO and senior leadership on project status, risks, and key performance metrics, offering expert recommendations for corrective actions.

  Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited university (advanced degree preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in project management (PM) or PMO roles.

• Strong capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards.

• Proven expertise in at least one specialist area: project planning, risk management, compliance, or performance analysis.

• Preferred: Experience with advanced nuclear projects.

• Ability to operate within a structured PMO, collaborating across departments and leveraging organizational resources.

• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Project).

• Demonstrated integrity, transparency, and teamwork, fostering a collaborative and high-trust work environment.
