Amazon Program Manager, Kuiper, Global Service Compliance in Bellevue, Washington

Description

We are seeking a stellar Program Manager to join the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon’s Project Kuiper. Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Key job responsibilities

Working closely with the accounting, business, legal, engineering, and other teams, you will develop out-of-this-world strategies for handling compliance obligations in creative, business-centric ways that allow Kuiper to move quickly. As a Program Manager of External Affairs for Kuiper GSC, you will support and contribute to the execution of Kuiper’s global communications service provider obligations by receiving and dispositioning communications with relevant authoritative agencies. You will have strong communication skills and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while balancing a strong attention to detail and driving the highest standards for all communications. You will understand a broad and deep range of communication service obligations and know how to communicate effectively with regulatory authorities. You will drive productive conversations, identify roadblocks, and routinely deliver results on time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in program or project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior communications drafting, editing, and/or copy editor experience

  • Familiarity with telecommunications regulation

  • Regulatory audit experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
