Amazon Program Manager, Defects Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) in Bellevue, Washington

Description

The Defect Prevention and Reconciliation (DP&R) organization aims to build innovative technology products that identify, resolve, and prevent defects from entering Amazon’s fulfillment supply chain. We eliminate operational waste and reduce cost, accelerating our fulfillment processes and improving customer experience. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns). If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, know how to deliver, love to work with data, are deeply technical, highly innovative and long for the opportunity to build solutions to challenging problems that directly impact the company's bottom-line, we want to talk to you.

The DP&R team is looking for a Program Manager who will manage existing programs to reduce post-receive defects in the FBA space. You will deliver complex, cross-functional projects aligned with team goals. You will work independently, collaborating with product, program, operations, and engineering teams as needed. The Program Manager should possess a solid understanding of business problems, tools, workflows, and interdependencies within their area. This role will challenge you to focus on the broader business picture, including customer experience, processes, problems, and opportunities. The ability to understand relevant requirements and goals, identify stakeholder needs and KPIs, and help teams make trade-offs considering the larger picture is essential for success. The Program Manager will partner with other managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set priorities and milestones, and drive delivery. They will help teams determine areas for improvement, ensure success metrics are in place or define them, and may be responsible for organizing data and writing strategic program documentation. They will meet timelines, minimize disruption to partner teams, manage schedules, proactively mitigate risks, and keep the scope under control. The Program Manager will own program communication, accelerate progress through timely decisions and clearing blockers, and apply process improvement methodologies. They may oversee roll-outs, including testing and launch efforts. They may manage post-launch support plans and look for opportunities to improve system quality and operational excellence.

If you enjoy dealing with ambiguity, complexity and broad scope that will be at the epicenter of our initiative, come join us!

• Establish collaborative relationships with business teams to build roadmaps that will identify and reduce contacts (both incoming and productivity efforts) and reduce effort and/or improve SP experience.

• Set delivery/completion dates of program milestones and establish a regular review cadence to report on the state and impact of your initiatives according to established goals

• Utilize metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns. Set-up mechanisms to audit and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives
