The FEPPS (Front End Planning and Project Support) team is looking for a Program Analyst to join the team. The Program Analyst role will be expected to balance detailed execution with speed and possess solid collaborative skills. This role combines elements of Startup Project Management, central ordering, and data analytics. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and new opportunities. You will also be diving deep to drive business through data insights and is passionate about socializing business impacts to guide the broader organization.
Key job responsibilities
Centralized order planning and Purchase Order (PO) issuance for new launches and expansions across several building types
Respond to a large volume of inquires from execution and business teams
Travel to sites for Startup mobilizations, non-inventory deep dives, testing, etc.
Manage and operate centralized Depot that houses Startup material
Own project budgets, report financials to Finance and Capital Governance, close out budgets
Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives
Provide status updates on projects and deliverables
Maintain recurring metrics and send out reports
Track key project milestones & purchasing lead times
Review and approve Composites and MDLs (Module Design Log) for accuracy
Resolve issues with shipment tracking and find alternate sourcing to preserve launch timelines
Drive continuous improvements by proactively identifying and implementing operational enhancements for efficiency
A day in the life
In this role, you will work closely with Procurement to ensure all Startup material is delivered on time for deployment, monitor the ongoing activities at the centralized Depot to ensure organization, timeliness, and efficiency. Place initial and gap orders, MHE Change Orders, custom quotes. Validate module accuracy and ensure standards are established and distributed to Startup. Respond to a high volume of inquires from stakeholders and business. Frequent travel (60%) to sites to assist in Startup activities, pre-mobilization walks, non-inventory deep dives, testing, module review walks, etc. Typical travel weeks: travel Monday, return Thursday with admin work on Friday.
About the team
The FEPPS Team was created in the beginning of 2021 in partnership with Startup to take ownership of centralized tasks so Startup can focus efforts in execution. We started supporting ATS (Amazon Transportation Services) and quickly expanded by supporting the larger organization, TES (Transportation Execution Services). We continue to grow by supporting additional business units and increasing scope of work. As a team, we manage a centralized Depot located in Phoenix, AZ where 95% of Startup equipment is processed where we label and kit thousands of Startup items for the upcoming POR (Plan of Record).
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
4+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Experience with procurement activities such as PO writing, supply chain, external vendor communication
Must be able to travel 60% on average (upwards of 70% during Q3)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Familiarity in design software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
