We're looking for a Principal Technical Program Mgr to lead cutting-edge projects in AI-powered disruption-management, risk prediction and real-time planning operations.

As part of the Scheduling, Execution and Disruption Intelligence (SXDI) team, you will lead projects that apply analytics, Machine Learning and AI/LLM techniques to optimize the Amazon middle-mile delivery network. You will work with executive leaders, engineering, science and operations stakeholders to coordinate product launches, process improvement, generate ideas, validate entitlement and then direct a path to launch. You will define architecture, integration strategy, and work across products to drive execution. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. As a multi-discipline leader leading impactful large-scale projects, the buck will stop with you.

Key job responsibilities

Own and drive implementation and delivery of large- initiatives spanning product areas Deliver on cost and efficiency goals, managing efforts, communicating status and managing stakeholder expectations. Lead agile engineering and teams to coordinate, prioritize and deliver to a roadmap Understand service inter-dependencies and lead cross-functional teams towards integrate solutions Clarify, prioritize and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability Articulate program goals, desired outcomes, risks/issues and mitigation plan clearly

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 4+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
