Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and drive strategic initiatives, adapting to a dynamic "roll up your sleeves" culture

  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions for supply chain challenges

  • Create compelling business cases and technical documents to justify new ideas

  • Analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights for senior leadership

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization

-Travel for site visits and team summits (up to 50%)

A day in the life

As a Principal in the Supply Chain PMO, you'll start your day reviewing project metrics and preparing for high-profile meetings. You might spend the morning collaborating with technical teams to address complex issues, followed by an afternoon presenting progress updates to senior leadership. You'll dedicate time to nurturing new ideas and evaluating their potential impact. Throughout the day, you'll communicate with stakeholders across various time zones, ensuring alignment on project requirements and fostering a culture of innovation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality

  • PMP certificate

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or related field

  • Experience working in e-commerce or with global logistics networks

  • Experience working in a large matrix organization and managing teams across multiple time zones

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
