This role involves supporting response efforts, providing analysis, and driving remediation for security incidents and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threats, detections, and mitigations. Key responsibilities include analyzing security incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Remediation Engineers will collaborate closely with other cybersecurity teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures. Additionally, effective communication skills are essential for explaining complex security issues to non-technical partners. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under stress are crucial for success in this role. Job Responsibilities Investigates and/or leads identifying security needs & recommends plans/resolutions Implements, tests & monitors information security improvements Leads information security review of new technologies, designs, and remediation planning efforts Conduct comprehensive analysis of security alerts and threats from various sources to identify potential risks and assess their impact on our operations Proactively identifies process or technology improvements within existing legacy applications or infrastructure and seeks out remediation Partner with internal teams and external collaborators to support containment tasks and implement effective remediation strategies Manage post-incident operations, including tracking lessons learned Communicate effectively with leadership and other partners to provide updates on response efforts and recommend proactive measures for risk mitigation Document incident findings, analysis, and response actions Contribute to the enhancement of T-Mobile's incident detection and response capabilities through continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing Implement security-related projects as assigned by management to improve T-Mobile Security practices and posture Mentor to peers and junior team members. Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team Demonstrate commitment to staying ahead of the latest trends, threats, and standard processes in cybersecurity Education and Certifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or equivalent work experience CISSP, CCSK, CCSP, CISA/CISM (preferred) GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GNFA, GCIA, GREM or similar (preferred) Work Experience 10 years experience with increasing responsibility with security related software and/or business process design. 4-7 years experience with the following: project/team lead, formal implementation SDLC, facilitation of multi-functional solution design teams. 4-7 years Technical Project Management Desired Qualifications Previous Leadership experience Be authority in multiple security subject areas Experience with high level design architecture, security technologies, networking, web services and SOA Domain expert in all facets of network & information security, including Firewall policy design, SSL Certificate management, vulnerability analysis & mitigation, and other topics as assigned Significant knowledge of current technological trends and developments in info security Ability to create techn
