The role of the Planning Manager is to support the central Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) team for one or multiple business units. This role is a key member of the Reliability Maintenance Engineering team who understands the capability of the EAM system within the global network.

The Planning Manager will lead a team responsible for the overall asset management, work planning, and spare part inventory using Infor APM/EAM software at North America (NA) sites. This team will be responsible for training RME team members on the APM/EAM system, rolling out standard workflows for work requests, preventative maintenance programs, project requests, and inspections, etc. The Planning Manager will own these functions across multiple business units supporting RME Directors.

The goal of the Amazon RME organization is to deliver zero equipment downtime to our Operations Partners. To meet this goal, we are continually striving to innovate and provide best in class service levels through the introduction of pioneering new products and services in the areas of Planning and Inventory Management within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) tool. To support continuous improvement in these areas, this role is also responsible for delivering global impacting programs to improve technician efficiency, equipment OEE, free cash flow, etc.

Key job responsibilities

· Develop tools and business practices to standardize work order planning and scheduling

· Develop tools and business practices to standardize spare parts inventory management

· Create metrics that will drive key operational insights

· Lead a team of central personnel in support of our field based Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering (RME) teams

· Deliver global impacting process improvements by partnering with leaders in WHS, Operations, Engineering, Technical development, EU RME, etc.

· Ability to Travel up to 50%

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of team management experience

  • 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Experience with CMMS software.

  • Experience managing stores or spare parts inventories.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

  • Experience managing teams of 3 or more

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
