What We're Looking For
A planning and permitting position that will include cultural resource fieldwork, research, and writing, as well as marketing support.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Environmental planning support on WSDOT projects, NW Region GEC and 405 GEC
Environmental permitting support for WSDOT projects, NW Region GEC and 405 GEC
Assisting the Brightline West environmental management on deliverables, client coordination, Administrative record
Environmental planning research, and writing
Archaeological fieldwork, research and writing
Historical fieldwork, research and writing
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Anthropology or related field.
What You'll Need
Analyzes and reviews the design plan and identifies deliverables.
Leads planning processes and technical solutions that best meet the project needs.
Leads tasks under general direction related to compiling and analyzing data associated with multi-disciplines and proposes technical solutions. Collects raw data, organizes, researches, and applies recognized tools of analysis to provide comprehensive review of the data.
Prepares graphics, technical reports, fee proposals, and responses to Request for Proposals for planning projects.
Creates project presentation materials, concepts, graphics, and reports to the client and community groups.
Responsible for significant portions of presentations and public facilitation. Conducts public meetings/hearings/community workshops and interfaces with client groups and community stakeholders.
Coordinates with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks.
Assists in directing teams for tasks for projects.
Mentors and provides direction on the work of less experienced staff.
Assists in the preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals, and responses to RFP’s for projects.
Develops and maintains client meetings and interactions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field and 6 years of relevant experience
Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field and 5 years of relevant experience
