Nuclear Software Quality Assurance Engineer The Nuclear Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software products are developed and released with the necessary level of quality per TerraPower's Software Quality Assurance Program. The Software Engineer will assist with the development, continuous improvement, and implementation of the SQA Program. The SQA Program covers all software categories (i.e., Design and Analysis software, Digital Structures, Systems, or Components software, and software used to support quality requirements) and all TerraPower projects. This position requires knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle and nuclear regulations such as, ASME NQA-1-2015, NRC RG 1.28, DOE O 414.1D, DOE G 414.1-4, etc. This position works closely with QA, IT, Engineering, and other business support organizations to ensure software applications are implemented and maintained according to requirements. The ideal candidate possesses experience in both software development and software quality assurance specific to the nuclear industry. Responsibilities * Guide software implementations through the SQA process to ensure compliance with TerraPower policies, program descriptions, and implementing procedures. * Assist with the development, continuous improvement, and implementation of the SQA Program. * Apply knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle in the nuclear industry, to support software quality assurance activities and ensure quality is integrated into the software development process. * Understanding of various nuclear regulations such as, ASME NQA-1-2015, NRC RG 1.28, DOE O 414.1D, DOE G 414.1-4, etc. * Understanding of the SQA configuration management, procurement, change management, commercial grade dedication, verification, and testing. * Train and support software development teams on the governing SQA plans and procedures. * Author software quality assurance guidance materials, including procedures, guidelines, and templates. * Review software quality assurance requirements, design and implementation, and test documentation for compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements. * Perform QA software assessments.
