Nuclear Licensing Engineer TerraPower is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear Licensing Engineer to be a part of the Natrium Licensing team. This position reports to a Licensing Manager and provides licensing support to the Natrium advanced reactor project, develops licensing documents, and supports regulatory audits and engagements. Work will be in close consultation with Engineering staff and will ensure Licensing documents are created in accordance with TerraPower licensing strategy and guidance. Support for engagements with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission includes pre-application meetings, preparing and reviewing Construction Permit Application revisions, preparing and reviewing topical reports, and responding to NRC audit questions and requests for additional information. Responsibilities * Draft, author, and review licensing documents including sections of a Construction Permit Application or Operating License Application (e.g., Safety Analysis Report and Environmental Report) * Coordinate with project stakeholders to prepare responses to NRC audit questions and requests for additional information * Interface with the Licensing Team to complete licensing tasks * Coordinate with design personnel to ensure designs and design changes meet regulatory requirements * Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with regulations and strict quality assurance standards * Interface with technical discipline teams at TerraPower, partners, and contractors * Review correspondence to and from regulatory agencies * Develop licensing strategies to support project goals Key Qualifications and Skills * Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience * Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards * Demonstrated, applicable experience in nuclear licensing, or comparable field * Familiarity with 10 CFR regulations and guidance * Familiarity with content of 10 CFR 50 applications * Self-Starter with ability to manage deadlines * Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe Professional * Strong communication skills * The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork * Actual position starting level and title will
