Job Description
An employer is looking to hire a Material Handler in Bellevue, WA. This company is the world's largest developer and manufacturer of products for the measurement of salinity, temperature, pressure, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence, nutrients and related oceanographic parameters in marine waters. These tools are used around the world by ocean researchers, resource managers, and key industries engaged in offshore exploration and ocean resource utilization. Our customers include research institutes, ocean observing programs, national and local government agencies, oil companies, engineering firms, environmental consulting businesses, and navies throughout the world. Our products are used in numerous critical environmental research and monitoring efforts that are deeply tied to our modern world. These studies include topics ranging from determining the ocean's role in, and the associated impact from, climate changes, to the monitoring of environmental impacts of major episodic events such as oil spills and tsunamis.
This position is part of the Supply Chain team located in Bellevue, WA and will be on-site. You will be a part of the Materials Team and report to the Materials Manager. You will be responsible for properly identifying material and is accountable for its accuracy in the stock locations. Inventories all material and equipment from receiving and production.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards, processes and controls.
- Follow established process for control of materials. Including material management for inventory and storage locations.
- Deploy and audit Kanban deployments, adhering to the process and standards
- Use of Oracle MRP system and Excel to complete Kanban process
- Investigate material discrepancies, record findings, and aid in determining best fixes
- Verify all materials during put away process to ensure first time-right mentality.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Skills and Requirements
1+ years of warehouse experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Oracle MRP experience
Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Excel experience
Problem count experience
Experience with inventory
Must have a valid driver's license and a good motor vehicle driving record (for potential operation of company vehicles)
Ability to read and understand commercial invoices or purchase orders
Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds floor to shoulder
Basic understanding of lean concepts and the ability to support continuous improvement
Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform, follow and help develop Standard Work null
