Job Overview The Manager, Machine Learning Engineering will oversee the strategic implementation and operational management of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) projects. This role involves coordinating multi-functional teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring that AI/ML models are effectively integrated into business operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation through AI and ML technologies. This role has responsibility for hiring, termination, development, performance, and salary decisions. The chief contribution of the Manager is their ability to make decisions regarding the short and long-term planning of resources. Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage AI and ML operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers and UI developers to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and solutions. Manage and evaluate the performance of AI/ML systems, making recommendations for improvements and optimizations. Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and best practices for AI/ML workflows. Lead project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of AI/ML initiatives. Education:Bachelor's Degree Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology (Required) Work Experience:2-4 years Proven experience of leading highly effective teams, fostering teamwork and driving performance within the AI/ML operations environment. (Required) 4-7 years Proven track record of managing complex CI/CD pipelines, governing the ML models, version tracking, maintaining data lineage and applying best practices (Required) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Data Platforms: Solid understanding of AI and ML concepts, frameworks, and methodologies coupled with, a deep understanding of cloud platforms and services (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) for AI/ML deployment and scaling. (Required) Programming Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g., Pyspark, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn). (Required) Reasoning: Experience with data management and analysis tools, including SQL and data visualization software. (Required) Innovation Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and standard methodologies in AI/ML to drive innovation. (Required) Project Management Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. (Required) Strategic Thinking Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
