Amazon’s Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Worldwide Talent Development (RME WWTD) team is currently seeking an experienced and highly collaborative learning professional to create and own the learning strategy for leadership development within the world-wide RME organization. This role is responsible for managing and delivering several global leadership programs, projects, and stakeholders. The Sr. Program Manager will assess role-specific needs and challenges, architect blended learning journeys, and implement associated programs and performance support tools. The role requires a strong delivery record and proven program management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and learning projects and programs. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, developing leaders as trainers, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. The person can be in Austin, TX, USA | Bellevue, WA, USA | Denver, CO, USA | Nashville, TN, USA and requires up to 30% travel.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the RME leadership development strategy, including designing the approach, selecting the methods, managing the implementation, and communicating the results.

• Design and implement surveys, round table discussions, and basic experiments to determine how to improve leadership development programs and the learner experience.

• Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable programs.

• Facilitate virtual and in-person learning and development courses.

• Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set program priorities, establish milestones, and drive delivery for leadership development programs.

• Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate.

• Partner with field leaders to deliver, train, and transition leadership programs.

• Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for leadership development programs, providing visibility to key milestones, and performance of programs using this data to drive/influence business decisions.

• Applies process improvement methodologies to execute existing programs and partners with the Leadership Development (LD) Sr. Manager in establishing new programs to support leader development across the RME global organization.

About the team

The Amazon Reliability and Maintenance Engineering team maintains and optimizes technologies ranging from large, modern, purpose-built warehouses utilizing robotics and high-volume conveyance all the way through the value chain to small, high speed warehouses placed as close to our customers as possible. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Customer Fulfillment, Sort Center/Air, and Delivery Network. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • 4+ years of work experience in learning program management and evaluation, preferably in leadership development; demonstrated experience with measuring the effectiveness of learning programs.

  • 4+ years of virtual and in-person facilitation experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and proven experience of learner-centered, performance-based instructional theories and adult learning principles.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in organization learning, organizational leadership, or organizational development.

  • Demonstrated excellence in building relationships and earning trust of others.

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, change management, organizational skills, and program management.

  • Technical aptitude to be able to quickly learn new technologies.

  • Ability to define business requirements for technical solutions to scale leadership development programs.

  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced work environment and manage time appropriately.

  • Ability to deliver results with little supervision in a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
