Position summary

T-Mobile is America's supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. The Engineers, Radio Frequency is located in Bellevue, WA and will provide radio frequency (RF), wireless transmission, and system design and performance analysis.

 

  • Telecommuting is permitted 100% of the time reporting to company HQ in Bellevue, WA.

     

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, plan, and oversee installation and maintenance of wireless radio communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition, and ancillary equipment
  • Select methods and techniques to implement solutions and serve as technical resource for RF Engineering team
  • Work with RF network traffic studies and conduct reviews of capacity management, optimization, and performance of CDMA, EVDO, GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G networks
  • Participate in radio network design, optimization, and capacity activities
  • Design, tune, and optimize high capacity wireless GSM, CDMA, EVDO, LTE, and 5G networks
  • Analyze network traffic and statistical information to provide recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare and review site configuration survey data and traffic forecasts. Prepare and review cell and frequency plans, as well as cell design data
  • Perform RF field walk tests, including in-building coverage and Public Venue surveys, support site walks and surveys to confirm in field as-built configurations, and populate RF design sheets and cell information questionnaires for network element augments

     

Specific Skills Requirement - must have experience in:

  • Troubleshooting network issues, reviewing network KPIs, and optimizing cell sites using Netact, Truecall, Netscout, IRIS, IMNOS, SABLE, CERS, Starling, SON, Onedata, and CAMP.
  • Conducting RF drive testing and UE data analysis using Windcatcher, ACTIX, TEMS, JDSU, and XCAL.
  • Leading 4G and 5G projects for spectrum management, feature parameter optimization, and FOA trials.
  • Using Mapinfo, Asset, and Atoll for designing new elements, modeling, coverage predictions, and creating sales maps.
  • Using Excel macros, Power-BI, Tableau, and SQL programming to generate insights, create analytical reports, and enhance network performance.
  • Working in ENM with 4G and 5G parameters to perform network optimization and troubleshoot operational issues.

  • PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related and 1 year of relevant work experience.

     

  • ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related and 3 years of relevant work experience.
