Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team. ABOUT THE JOB The Product Security organization ensures that Snowflake products are built and shipped with the highest security. The Service Identity and Secret Management team builds the foundational security services and libraries that empower Snowflake engineers to bring the most secure Data Cloud to our customers. We solve the hard security problems so other Snowflake engineers don't have to. Security, reliability and quality are critical. We need a manager to lead our engineering team and shape the vision for critical security infrastructure at Snowflake. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers that designs, builds and supports software solutions across a wide range of problem areas, including Secret Management, Key Management, Identity and Authorization. You will have the opportunity to help set the direction for the security infrastructure used by engineers across the company. You will hire new talent, mentor and grow team members and define the team culture. You will work with cross-functional partners to define the multi-year strategy and lead the implementation of Identity, Access and Secret Management solutions at Snowflake. You will oversee the design and implementation of new processes and scanning pipelines to ensure the safety of our customers on our platform. This is a unique opportunity to bootstrap and build a new initiative that is core to the success of Snowflake's business as a whole. AS ENGINEERING MANAGER, YOU WILL: Hire top technical talent, manage and mentor team members Partner with product, security and engineering teams to build a strategic roadmap for scalable security infrastructure at Snowflake, including service identity, authorization frameworks, and secret management. Understand the security risks faced by Snowflake and our customers, and build solutions to mitigate them. Work with engineering teams from across Snowflake to build empathy and understand their needs. Partner with security, engineering and product teams to define and set the strategy service identity and secret management solutions at Snowflake. Oversee the design and implementation of necessary tools and services Lead and manage team's priorities, deadlines and deliverables. OUR IDEAL ENGINEERING MANAGER WILL HAVE: 2+ years experience managing a security infrastructure team 10+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering In-depth knowledge of security technologies, including identity and access management, access control groups and frameworks, service identity, cryptographic libraries and secret management solutions Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Experience building secret management, key management, identity and related services Experience building and supporting broadly-used facing development libraries and frameworks Knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols, and applied cryptography. The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
