Requisition Summary The PACCAR Global Engine team is looking for a driven Engine Verification Supervisor to support current product and product development with a specific focus on heavy-duty diesel engine verification and performance of the North American PACCAR engine families. The selected individual will work closely with the global cross-functional verification and validation teams and be responsible for delivering the best performing emissions and OBD compliant engines for North America. Get started! Job Functions / Responsibilities Lead and mentor calibration and test engineers, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork, and inspiring personal ownership and commitment to product quality. Uses engineering principles and experience to develop test procedures to conduct targeted engine verification and performance testing. Work with other verification supervisors to provide relevant input to the development, communication and management of program level engine and vehicle test plans, including timing, quality, and budget. Provides support to the aftersales in the calibration, verification and validation, and release of running change software releases. Align test plans with the OBD teams and support them in the development of robust diagnostic calibrations. Leads initiatives to improve testing methods for higher efficiency and effectiveness. Stays current on software functionality and product requirements for the PACCAR engine family. Stays technically current with the heavy-duty diesel industry. Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions Qualifications Minimum 8 years of direct work experience in the automotive industry Sound knowledge of test cell and in-vehicle diesel engine calibration, calibration tools, OBD, and engine control systems Sound knowledge of OBD regulatory requirements Sound knowledge of tailpipe, GHG, and Not-To-Exceed regulations Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment Self-directed, excellent analysis and engineering judgment required Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to travel up to 15% Education BS in appropriate technical field required, MS degree in technical field preferred PACCAR Benefits As a U.S. PACCAR employee, you have a full range of benefit options including: Competitive salary and 401k with up to a 5% company match Fully funded pension plan that provides monthly benefits after retirement Comprehensive paid time off - Minimum of 10 paid vacation days, 12 paid holidays, and sick leave Tuition reimbursement for continued education
