Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

The Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the UIS Internalization design project. Responsibilities include building requirements, schematics, layout, test plans, models, initial testing, and integration into a prototype/concept level system. This role involves coordinating with controls engineering, hardware engineering, and software engineering teams in the design, development, implementation, testing, and debugging of a motor drive and power system for a robotic system. The project will focus on researching motor drive solutions, creating/developing models for power consumption and drive capabilities, and recommending both short- and long-term solutions.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Bellevue, Washington and some days remote.

Work Environment

The candidate will primarily work at the Bellevue, WA location while occasionally visiting the Robotic Lab in DT Seattle and Sumner, WA. The team consists of hardware engineers and software engineers. Daily activities include PCB based design of motor driver electronics, power electronics, familiarization with H bridges, modeling duties, writing test plans, and assisting with board bring up. Team reviews and integration are also integral parts of the role.
