Director, Safety and Engineering Analysis, Natrium The Natrium Safety and Engineering Analysis Director is responsible for leading a large multidisciplinary department of engineers performing methods development, design support analyses, core design, safety analyses, and probabilistic risk assessment for the Natrium project. This department's work is central to developing and proving out the safety case for the Natrium Demonstration Reactor. The department director sets direction and priorities for department planning and execution and holds design authority for department technical work. They also serve as a key interface to other departments and external parties. The Director, Safety and Engineering Analysis, Natrium, reports to the SVP and Natrium Project Director. . The Director will work closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure that the analysis is performed in accordance with licensing requirements and guidelines and supports licensing submittals such as the Preliminary Safety Analysis Report and Final Safety Analysis Report. The Director will also be responsible for the department budget and schedule. This position will work closely with other Natrium Engineering Directors to ensure that work on the project is fully integrated, and the analysis supports the design development. They will ensure testing by internal groups fully supports the verification and validation of the methods developed. They will work closely with the Design Authority to ensure that design decisions are made at the appropriate level of the project, and that their team follows required procedures and processes.
