Title: Device Tester

Job Description:

• Develop technical requirements, test plans, and scripts for advanced device technology features.
• Oversee wireless product test and validation cycles in lab, managing RF performance, power management, audio performance, chipset roadmap, and certification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical direction, and presenting reports to drive the launch of new devices.
• Act as the central resource for subject matter expertise within the Technology organization.
• Utilize 5G NR, 4G LTE, and 3G UMTS standards to validate handsets and data devices.
• Analyze and troubleshoot call and data performance issues using network tools and UE diagnostic tools.
• Work with UMTS/LTE/NB-IoT/5G NR standards for mobile terminal signaling and protocols.
• Develop python scripts and Windows batch script to execute functional and stress automation testing across components on multiple devices.
• Develop and modify script for physical /protocol layer in the Network Simulators (Anite, R&S, Agilent, Spirent, or Anritsu) for 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE and 5G NR technologies.
• Analyzing logs and troubleshooting UMTS/GSM CS, PS, LTE, and 5G Data calls using tools like QxDM, Wireshark, and others. Familiarity with Transport Layer protocols (TCP, UDP) and exposure to Third Party Protocol, Modem, or RF Test Equipment in WCDMA/LTE technologies.
• Leading the undergoing device project and execute different testing scenarios and technology features like QAM, MIMO, Carrier aggregation (2CC/3CC/4CC), VoNR, VoLTE, IMS, RCS, RTT, Network Sling, LAA, Uplink MIMO etc. Validate proper implementation of protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, FTP, SIP, RTP, and RTCP in the released development Software.
• Support post-merger network integration coverage enhancement efforts.
• Maintain effective communication with multiple teams for seamless delivery of quality mobile devices.

Qualifications & Tools and Technologies Required:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics communication engineering, electrical engineering, Computer Information System or related field and 2 years of progressive exp as Device Tester, Sr. Systems Engineer, IT Engineer, or IT Professional. Salary: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year.

Experience must include the following:

• Proven experience in a strategic role focused on device technologies within the telecommunications industry.
• In-depth knowledge of 5G NR, 4G LTE, 3G UMTS, and other relevant telecommunication standards.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for call and data performance issues.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience in post-merger network integration efforts is a plus.
• Sound knowledge of QXDM, QPST, QCAT, Wireshark, Shannon, Odin, ADB, Linux, Microsoft Office suites.
• Expertise and experience with Samsung Exynos chipsets & Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets (several iterations/versions)
• Experience in Python and batch scripting.
• Experienced in working with Spirent NOMAD, Anritsu ME7834LA, Anite 9000s v2.4/v2.5 dual cell, Rhode & Schwarz CMW500.
• Strong knowledge in network features such as VoLTE (Voice over LTE), QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem), MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output), Massive MIMO, Network Slicing, Carrier Aggregation(2CC/3CC/4CC), Data Roaming, IR94, LAA (License Assisted Access), RCS, ePDG.
• Strong knowledge of data layer protocols such as RACH, SIP, FTP, TCP, UDP, RTP, RTCP, SCTP, HTTP, XCAP
