The Boeing Company Cyber Security Specialist in Bellevue, Washington

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly motivated Cyber Security Specialist to join our Architecture, Integration, and Emerging Technologies team in the Information Security organization which will be located in Bellevue, Washington or Saint Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for projects including projects that focus on emerging technologies (e.g. cloud and mobility)

  • Participate in solution architecture design; lead security efforts assisting with the integrated design and initial implementation of solutions

  • Lead and conduct architecture assessments of target systems and environments; review existing architecture of a broad range of technologies, identify design gaps, and recommend security enhancements

  • Ensure integrated designs meet security requirements

  • Perform threat analysis and review threat models, evaluate findings and identify mitigations/remediations

  • Work across multiple organizations to reach common business goals and objectives

  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of internal computing standards, enterprise architectural frameworks, security governance, design patterns, and practices

  • Understand current and emerging security threats and design security architecture to mitigate threats where possible

  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies (e.g. cloud, wearables)

  • Serve as the information security subject-matter expert; provide advisory and consulting services as needed

  • Prepare technical reports and briefings, provide cyber security recommendations to leadership and wide range of business stakeholders

  • Mentor less experienced personnel

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 6 years of systems design experience with security focus
    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Possesses one or more security certifications relevant to the position such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), etc

  • 3 years of threat modeling experience

  • Broad and deep technical experience with proven leadership in evaluating risk

  • Broad depth of cyber security knowledge, understanding of security best practices, threats, mitigating techniques and the ever-evolving security landscape

  • Possesses fundamental knowledge of cloud-based solutions and mobile technologies

  • Strong analytical, architecture, and integration skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong focus on first time quality

  • Desire to grow technical skills and ability to learn new technologies swiftly

  • High attention to detail, self-starter, result driven

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
    Typical Education/Experience
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technologies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
