T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks Credit Risk Managers in Bellevue, WA to Serve as an individual contributor and be responsible for innovations in credit risk strategies to support T-Mobile's "Un-carrier" mission to offer streamlined plan structures for our customers. Utilize education and experience in business, data science, and credit risk modeling to develop and maintain credit risk models and solve complex customer behavior and advanced analytical problems, working closely with our Credit Risk Management leadership, Consumer team, and T-Mobile for Business Credit Strategy and Collections Strategy teams. Own and be responsible for developing and maintaining credit risk models and attributes to support both consumer and T-Mobile for Business credit risk decisions throughout the customer credit lifecycle. Partner with other functional teams in T-Mobile for deployment, credit risk model tracking, and providing read-outs to leadership based on model performance insights and analytics. Manipulate large amounts of data, extract key insights from data using advanced concepts in data science, statistics, and analytics. Clearly and concisely communicate actionable recommendations to leadership, and serve subject matter expert in credit data, credit risk modeling, and data science/machine learning. Develop a deep understanding of industry, corporate, and customer drivers to leverage in optimization of all aspects of our decision strategy and business processes across the credit life cycle. Develop, maintain, and monitor credit attributes from both external credit bureau data as well as internal customer behavior data. Develop, maintain, and monitor credit risk models emphasizing both prediction accuracy and the impact to losses and profitability. Solve complex customer behavior problems using data science/machine learning and NLP approaches. Apply education and experience in quantitative analytics and credit risk model development. Apply education and expertise in credit bureau report data and derived credit bureau attributes. Apply hands-on experience in SAS and other statistical, analytical model building, and programming languages. Utilize proficiency in Python, R, and other machine learning software. Apply education and experience with credit decision systems and implementation. Position reports to T-Mobile headquarters at 12920 SE 38th Street, Bellevue, WA 98006, and various unanticipated worksites through the U.S. Telecommuting permitted 100% of the time. No additional national or international travel is anticipated. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, or its foreign equivalent, and 5 years of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, or its foreign equivalent, and 3 years of relevant work experience. In addition, the following skills are required: (1) Using SQL, SAS, R, Python or other statistical/analytical programming languages to manipulate data from at least 28M customers, extract key insights from the data, and clearly and concisely communicate actionable recommendations based upon insight, using Visio flowcharts, Power Point, and Tableau or Power BI dashboards; (2) Extracting, loading, transforming, and exploring data from multiple sources necessary for statistical,reporting, and ad-hoc analysis, using programming languages (SAS, SQL, and R) and managing data in WinSCP / Putty; (3) Identifying new segmentation opportunities using statistical methods (including decision trees and clustering) in SAS, R, and FICO® Analytics Workbench, leading to enhancements to decision process and policies; (4) Developing predictive financial and analytical models using the appropriate statistical methodologies including Statistical Regression Analysis, Machine Learning algorithms -- including XGBoost -
