US Tech Solutions Buyer III in Bellevue, Washington

The Buyer will assist the Buying Team in expanding selection by setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalog and managing pricing. Job responsibilities include new product launch & coordination, maintaining product cost, retail price, content and images, vendor relations, and assisting with special projects. Additional responsibilities include supporting and training as a backup to Control Buyer.

Successful candidates will be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and have strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point). An understanding of data management and databases is also a plus. The candidate must be able to work in a highly demanding, but collegial environment where teamwork is a must.

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or related field.

  • 3-5 years of buyer experience, (electrical or compressor industry) preferred

  • Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups) 2 - 4 Years

  • Data analysis – use tools to get averages of data, checking opinions on the data sets. Looking at which codes are higher.2 - 4 Years

  • general contractor construction – knowledge of how to troubleshoot any issues that arise. (permit issues or other industry standards) 2 - 4 Years

  • Good negotiation 2 - 4 Years

These 2 technical buyers will handle compressor and air piping install scope for all MLA initiatives in 2024 as Material Buyers. They will be responsible for requesting and reviewing quotes, negotiations, working with ordering team to place orders, manage supply readiness and escalations. They’ll work with our ADTA Supply Chain, Engineering and GPO teams for the same. They’ll also communicate with vendors to provide product ETAs to our customers as required. Based on a 40-hour work week, we expect them to use 10% of their time on requesting quotes, 20% on quote evaluations, 20% on negotiations, 40% on Supply Readiness and 10% on managing escalations. Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with our key suppliers and business partners to enable and support project execution.

  • Review supplier designs and proposals to ensure that scope, pricing, and schedules support client's business needs.

  • Support consistent work package sourcing processes consistent with Client's sourcing policies.

  • Facilitate suppliers’ understanding of Client's global policies, equipment design standards, budget and cost targets, service and quality expectations.

  • Drive suppliers’ continuous improvement and value engineering in support of program’s performance metrics: quality, delivery, capacity, cost and safety.

  • Monitor suppliers’ supply chain, manufacturing, human capital with respect to overall program objectives.

  • Administer change management program that ensures program delivered per supporting commercial agreement with focus on cost, quality, and schedule objectives.

  • Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.
