Chewy Business Intelligence Engineer II in Bellevue, Washington

Chewy’s Supply Chain Organization is calling for a dynamic BIE II to join our Inventory Team in either Bellevue, WA or Plantation, FL. Our mission? As a BIE on the Inventory Team, you’ll have an opportunity to make your mark and truly impact the business, leveraging your data expertise and our big data to drive disruption and improve the way we operate. You’ll own the design, development, and maintenance of analytics and insight generation for a variety of inventory-related supply chain initiatives. This includes building and managing data pipelines, developing insightful dashboards and insights, and utilizing the latest technology to drive automated insight and defect identification.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with a wide range of disciplines including internal Inventory Teams and various others across Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation, Merchandising, S&OP, Replenishment, and Forecasting.

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor and track incrementality measurement in real-time.

  • Adhere to and champion the best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to inventory program performance and ROI.

  • Serve as a dedicated liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring high-quality solutions that cater to user needs.

  • Communicate findings, results, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels through clear and compelling presentations, reports, and visualizations.

  • Enhance data collection, attribution modeling, and experimentation capabilities to advance incrementality measurement within the organization.

  • Facilitate platform growth and administration by introducing automation measures to guarantee seamless operations.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant role, including planning, forecasting, and/or supply chain.

  • Expertise in Tableau, SQL, and data warehousing; experience with ETL processes.

  • Proficiency in Python; experience with Java, Scala, or another modern programming language is a plus.

  • Strong analytical abilities and experience with data analysis and management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with A/B tests and other statistical analysis methods.

  • Ability to convey key insights from complex analyses in summarized business terms.

  • Comfort operating in a self-driven learning environment and presenting findings to senior leaders.

Bonus:

  • Master’s degree in Analytics or an equivalent advanced academic degree.

  • Experience with Snowflake, KNIME, AWS, and advanced Tableau.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling in retail/e-commerce.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our pay range for a Business Intelligence Engineer II position is $115,500.00 - $183,500.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) while salaried-exempt team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
