Description We are seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to join our team in the Service industry based in Bellevue, Washington. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, processing financial transactions, and ensuring the precision of assets and liabilities. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Guarantee accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Payable and Receivable, including the creation of new vendors and monitoring of balances.
• Contribute to the data entry processes, ensuring all information is current and precise.
• Assist in the general accounting duties, including month-end close, reconciliation of the General Ledger and bank statements.
• Process payroll, enter payroll journal entries, and maintain employee payroll files.
• Support the Senior Manager in maintaining financial records and processing financial transactions.
• File and maintain documents after review by the Senior Manager, ensuring all records are appropriately stored and easily accessible.
• Review expense reports before approval, communicate with employees about items in question, and process for payment once approved.
• Assist in managing the audit process and liaising with auditors, ensuring all necessary information is accurately presented.
• File property, LNI, and B& O tax forms, including accrual and preparation of returns.
• Maintain the fixed assets ledger and create calculations for monthly depreciation.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring all financial projections and expectations are accurately represented. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated experience in Bookkeeping
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Payroll processes
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
