Are you a passionate Business Intelligence Engineer who wants to make a real business impact on a key AWS business?

We are looking for seasoned Business Intelligence Engineer to join a BI team for Databases, Analytics and AI/ML business. As a BI Engineer, you will be building complex business intelligence applications using AWS Analytics stack. You should have deep expertise and passion in working with large data sets, data visualization, deriving insights from large complex datasets, writing complex SQLs, performance tuning, bringing data from disparate data stores, programmatically identifying patterns and developing visualizations. You should have excellent business acumen and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions and requirements. You will provide guidance and support for other engineers with industry best practices and direction. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has culture of data-driven decision-making, and demands timely, accurate, and actionable business insights.

From technology perspectives, you will have opportunities to (and will be asked to) be exposed to the modern agile cloud-based data technologies. The team is empowered to select the right technology, if necessary, based on customer needs and you will have the full set of AWS services in your toolbox.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

• Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
