Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Research Scientist to join our Core-AI computer vision team in Reality Labs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the field of 3D content generation such as objects, scenes, texture and material for VR/MR and Metaverse. You will also work on fundamental research and be able to publish high quality papers in top-tier computer vision conferences. Required Skills:

Applied AI Research Scientist, Generative AI (PhD) Responsibilities:

  1. Research and develop novel computer vision models in Generative AI, with a focus on 3D objects, textures and video synthesis

  2. Conduct and collaborate on research projects within a globally-based team

  3. Key contributor to papers / projects that hold a position towards remarkable contribution to both the field & company

  4. Contribute to and apply research that advances Meta products

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

  2. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree or completing a postdoctoral assignment in the field of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision or similar

  3. Experience in deep learning algorithms and techniques, e.g., convolutional neural networks (CNN), recurrent networks (RNN) and/or related areas

  4. Experience working with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

  5. Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration

  6. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

  1. Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as first authored publications at leading workshops or conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, and SIGGRAPH.

  2. Demonstrated software engineer experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. GitHub).

  3. Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and diverse points of view to determine a path forward.

  4. Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.

Public Compensation:

$116,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
