Waggener Edstrom Account Executive in Bellevue, Washington

The Account Executive (AE) will support the management and execution of PR strategies, influencer engagement and advocacy, insights reporting and storytelling with a Fortune 100 tech client. This person will manage and partner on multiple day-to-day client and agency requests focused on global influencer relations and events management. In addition, they will ensure media campaigns are executed flawlessly, advising on strategy and tactics, including media lists and pitches, and working directly with client representatives across the globe. Agency experience desired, and excellent writing, time management, and organizational skills are a must.

Job Functions:

  • Serve as day-to-day counsel to clients and agency stakeholders, manage high-profile campaigns and events (both virtual and in-person) across diverse teams, providing key creative, strategic, and tactical recommendations and anticipating needs

  • Develop and lead brainstorming and execution of global, integrated digital, social, and broadcast campaigns and communications plans aimed at changing perceptions and achieving specific business goals

  • Integrate and gather information across teams, clients, and partners as needed for projects

  • Understand clients’ business model from a global perspective, including key markets, global influencers, and the impact on client narrative

  • Research and share industry insights, shifts, and opportunities in the landscape of tech innovation

  • Anticipate, negotiate, and manage client expectations and satisfaction; assure internal and external stakeholders are aligned

  • Manage significant international cycles of media inquiries

  • Identify and create new opportunities to grow and diversify current accounts and drive new business efforts including sourcing and gathering audience, industry, or competitor market data.

Minimum/Preferred Requirements:

  • Self-starter with Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related field is preferred. Or the equivalent knowledge and/or experience

  • 2 years of experience in integrated communications/PR, preferably in an agency setting and/or within an applicable industry.

  • Strong writing and research skills

  • Experience developing, presenting and executing upon communications plans

  • Experience managing virtual and in-person events for large groups of media

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel)

Additional Requirements

  • Interest in developing and/or improving integrated communications skills

  • High level of initiative

  • Desire to be an engaged, accessible member of a dynamic office and broader global agency community. Passion for the tech industry a bonus.

  • Client and business environment: Customer service orientation is a must. Job pressure may exist from requirement of handling multiple tasks

  • Experience working with colleagues in multiple locations

  • Fast-paced team environment (frequent tight deadlines, multitasking, etc.)

  • Strong presentation and consulting skills along with the ability to read, write and speak English

  • May need to work more than 40 hours per week on occasion
