Work Tasks to be performed

·         Crops: Corn, alfalfa, hay, straw, silage

·         Operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to tractor, grader, track hoe, backhoe, loader, or skid steer, productively, efficiently, and safely. Inspect, maintain, and operate agricultural equipment in a safe and proper way in order to avoid accidents or undue maintenance or repair work. Perform mechanical duties including but not limited to routine maintenance on equipment, oil changes, and implement repairs.

·         Perform crop cultivation tasks including plowing, planting, spraying, irrigating, fertilizing, harvesting, and hauling. Plant seeds. Pick, cut, lift, or pull crops. Install/maintain irrigation systems and water lines. Move and install irrigation pipes and equipment. Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other crop protectants. Apply fertilizers, plant growth chemicals, conditioners, and other plant related treatments at the correct times depending on plant type, growth, climate, and crop conditions.

·         Mow, cut, and weed fields. Perform ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, ground preparation, and other manual tasks. Bending, stooping, and

kneeling required. Use hand tools including but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws. Lift, carry, and load/unload

products or supplies. Assist with farm building/field maintenance and repairs. Build/repair fences.

·         Feed cattle. Move cattle. Inspect for medical or parasitic issues.

·         Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving) and able to obtain an insurable driver's license may drive company vehicles. Workers with appropriate licenses and a valid doctor's certificate may transport other workers.

·         Operar equipos pesados, incluidos, entre otros, tractores, niveladoras, azadas, retroexcavadoras, cargadoras o minicargadoras, de manera productiva, eficiente y segura. Inspeccionar, mantener y operar equipos agrícolas de manera segura y adecuada para evitar accidentes o trabajos de mantenimiento o reparación indebidos. Realizar tareas mecánicas que incluyen, entre otras, el mantenimiento de rutina del equipo, cambios de aceite y reparaciones de implementos.

·         Realizar tareas de cultivo, incluyendo arar, plantar, fumigar, irrigar, fertilizar, cosechar y transportar. Semillas de planta. Recoger, cortar, levantar o arrancar cultivos. Instalar/mantener sistemas de riego y líneas de agua. Mover e instalar tuberías y equipos de riego. Aplique pesticidas, herbicidas, fungicidas y otros protectores de cultivos. Aplique fertilizantes, productos químicos para el crecimiento de las plantas, acondicionadores y otros tratamientos relacionados con las plantas en los momentos correctos según el tipo de planta, el cre
