Summary You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (GENERIC TRAINING) in the CODE 08.3 TRAINING AND OVERSIGHT DIVISION for OSHE OFFICE OF the TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR. Responsibilities You will independently develop, revise, and adapt courses. You will prepare lesson plans and training materials based on course objectives. You will modify plans consistent with the needs of and make-up of the class, state-of -the-art, and professional developments. You will determine instructional methods and approaches. You will conduct the training and assess progress of students in meeting desired objectives, including advising and assisting them to improve their performance. You will be responsible for the improvement and modification of training for assigned courses. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Evaluate effectiveness of existing programs, modify ongoing programs, and develop and implement new training. 2. Establish training methods, techniques and tools in order to design and develop training courses and materials, evaluate the design and delivery of training programs, and/or complete special projects. 3. Recommend changes largely modeled on precedents and make minor adjustments in training or evaluation methods. and 4. Utilize instructional technology such as interactive courseware, video tele-training, and computer-based training to determine best alternative(s) for delivery of training..
