Commander, Navy Installations FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in Bangor, Washington

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Office of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST. Responsibilities You will analyze financial transactions or reports from the Standard Accounting and Budget Reporting System (SABRS), Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and similar financial management system to identify problems or erroneous transactions. You will develop data for labor reports and metrics. You will monitor the accounting, execution, and management of labor budgets and develop reports for management and senior leadership to ensure financial integrity, timelines, accuracy, and validity. You will analyze financial management practices to validate adherence to regulatory requirements, to include the inspection and surveillance of timekeeping and labor trends. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications (GS-12) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Making financial decisions based on financial analysis, research, forecasting, and planning; 2) Working with accounting systems, and or developing, determining, and interpreting budget policies and procedures; 3) Developing metrics and reports to ensure the integrity of all financial data; 4) Collaborating with internal departments and outside agencies to achieve financial goals. (GS-11) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing financial analysis, research, and forecasting to produce financial information; 2) Reviewing budgets for accordance with appropriation laws and financial regulations; 3) Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and/or editing financial reports to recommend corrective actions; 4) Communicating with peers, management, and personnel outside of the organization to provide financial advice and/or recommendations. This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
