Essential Duties and Tasks

Level I

· Follow all safety policies and procedures.

· Responsible for in-process inspection and testing for Quality, Food Safety, and other requirements.

· Ensure all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.

· Responsible for documentation, sampling and quarantining of non-conforming material.

· Organize and maintain test results, production samples, retains, and records.

· Communicate routine information effectively within the ProAmpac Facility.

· Document and participate in investigation of internal quality issues (CARs).

· Maintain proficiency with quality testing equipment and ERP (Syteline).

· Other duties as assigned.

Level II

· Lead investigation of internal quality issues (CARs).

· Document and participate in investigation of external quality issues (RMAs).

· Audit and propose improvements to Quality SOPs, Work Instructions, and Food Safety.

· Coordinate projects and perform advanced testing within the Quality department.

Level III

· Lead investigation of internal (CARs) and external (RMAs) quality issues.

· Communicate effectively both inside and outside the ProAmpac Seattle facility.

· Create and improve testing procedures and SOPs using feedback from key stakeholders.

· Participate in Continuous Improvement and Internal Auditing activities as assigned.

· Support the Quality Supervisor and Manager in training others on key testing procedures and SOPs.

· Support the Manufacturing team on testing equipment and ERP use.

Level IV

· Coordinate activities in continuous improvement, training, and internal auditing as assigned.

· Assist in 3rd party audits, Quality and Food Safety leadership, and coaching as assigned.

· Resolve complex issues as they arise with minimal supervision.

Qualifications, Education and Experience

· Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.

· Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.

· Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.

· Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.

· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams, and Outlook

· Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

· Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

· Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

· Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This role operates in both a professional office environment and in a manufacturing environment. Employee is occasionally exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing areas.

Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection as required

Pay Range $25-28/Hr
