Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs minor manual touchup of primers and topcoats using paintbrush or similar tool. 
  • Selection, installation, and removal of masking materials.  
  • Verify Part counts against work order
  • Ability to visually identify defects in workmanship regarding finishes, physical damage, and part identification.  
  • Meet Orion safety and quality system requirements.  
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain 6S and Lean manufacturing best practices.  
  • Utilize ERP system to document work movement.  
  • Process work within performance and delivery requirements:
  • Meet established productivity standards.
  • Follow communicated job priority instructions.  
  • Communicate production delays and problems to appropriate supervision. 
  • Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team fully to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals and objectives.  
  • Participate in team company meetings:
  • Role model proper work ethics and behaviors. 
  • Role model proper hygiene and dress.

Requirements
  • Must be able to work Monday - Thursday, 3:25 P.M. to 1:55 A.M.
  • Basic understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.
  • Mathematical and measurement skills. 
  • Ability to interpret work instructions and specifications. 
  • Demonstrated shop math skills. 
  • Organizational ability. 
  • Problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collectively. 
  • Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customers.

  • Occasional use of computer
