About the Position

This position performs fireplace installations and services including fireplace products and accessories. Will service gas, wood, pellet, and electrical type fireplaces.

Position Requirements

  • Perform “lights-off” procedure which is the final step before the fireplace can be lit.

  • Perform hook up to gas,

  • Perform checks for leaks, and cleanings for the final set-up for the fireplace.

  • Conduct maintenance services on fireplaces including wood burning, pellet and gas fireplaces in accordance with manufacture installation instructions.

  • Maintain working knowledge of all fireplaces, stoves and related home products along with any manufacture changes.

  • Complete required work orders on the job site and upload work tickets into paperless system daily.

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures and on builder/customer sites.

  • Maintain a positive and professional image towards all customers and builders

  • Coordinate and interface with other trades that are involved with “Lights-off” or service of fireplaces, i.e. plumbers, electricians, and framers, etc.

  • Maintain effective communication with sales staff and field operations to ensure that the installation and light off services are completed and meet quality standards.

  • Perform daily reviews of schedule and follow product inventory process and guidelines.

  • Keep job sites clean and picks-up before leaving.

  • Maintain company issued vehicle, phone and job tools provided.

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, and experience using an I Pad, Laptop, and MS Office Suite products

Physical Demands: Able to lift 50lbs, while performing duties which could include, the ability to carry, push, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, and or work with hands
