SKILLS INC Aerospace- Saw Operator -4th Shift (Friday- Sunday 6am-6:30pm) in AUBURN, Washington

JOB SUMMARY Identify and pull correct material identified on a manufacturing order, set up saw to proper dimension specified on manufacturing work order, saw material, deliver finished material to other work areas, and complete detailed work order. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Responsible for cutting, shaping, and fitting of metal parts according to tolerances. Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work and tooling. Read and interpret blueprints. Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances. Measure completed work using tape measure, calipers, steel ruler, and templates. Saw material to meet 1st article inspection requirements. Clean and lubricate machines. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency. Follow work rules and standard safety regulations at all times. Maintain safe working practice's and insure area is clean and free of any possible dangerous situations. Other duties as assigned by manager. QUALIFICATIONS U.S. Person status required due to export control. Knowledge of and aptitude toward mechanical processes and techniques. Ability to identify potential issues with machinery, parts or process. Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers). Ability to identify hazardous materials and working conditions and apply the proper safety precautions and PPE required for each. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to adapt to change (positive or negative). Ability to accept of criticism and deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations. Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment, and dealing with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent.
