Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Job Description

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the shipment of finished goods to our customers. This position requires forklift operation, good carpentry skills, use of power hand tools, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. The role involves using a PC to perform various duties related to shipping and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments of incoming materials.

• Load and unload trucks.

• Select appropriate packaging materials and containers per customer requirements.

• Route outgoing shipments through various means of transportation.

• Complete applicable paperwork such as customs invoices, bills of lading, and barcode labels.

• Pull parts from stores and route parts to the staging area for shipment.

• Maintain shipment history files.

• Route paperwork to contracts and accounting after the shipment of goods.

• Support Management as directed.

• Create MS Word and Excel documents and spreadsheets for Logistics staff.

• Perform data entry.

• File Logistics Department documents.

Essential Skills

• Experience in shipping and receiving.

• Proficiency in packaging and order picking.

• Strong computer skills including data entry and use of MS Word and Excel.

• Experience using hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, nail and staple guns.

• Approved training in forklift operation.

• Ability to use RF scanners and pallet jacks.

• Experience in material handling and loading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with keyboarding.

• Motivated and dependable individual with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to adhere to a flexible and demanding schedule that may include short days, short-notice unscheduled overtime, or additional weekend shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00
