Details: Job Title: Senior Process Engineer - Investment Castings Pay Rate: $120,000-170,000/per year Location: Arlington, WA 98223 Area Code: 360, 253 Shift: 1st/A, Hybrid (2 days onsite) Employment Type: Direct or Contract #investmentcasting #spacemanufacturing #engineeringjobs Potential for paid travel in and out of area Overview: Belcan is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with expertise in investment casting for a full-time position. This role involves providing technical leadership in the development and maintenance of manufacturing processes for commercial aerospace castings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading root-cause corrective action investigations and continuous improvement projects to reduce casting defects. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with product and process engineering teams, ensuring timely production support and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: *Provide broad process engineering support for investment casting of aerospace superalloy components. *Advise on process and procedure improvements to reduce cycle times and eliminate defects using statistical analysis. *Review and propose edits to process documentation, work instructions, specifications, and engineering drawings to ensure quality and compliance. *Perform root cause analyses for non-conformances and deploy corrective actions. *Define and support repair and rework activities. *Collaborate closely with customer"s product engineering and process engineering teams to provide timely production support. *Develop and update work instructions and procedures for manufacturing processes. Required Qualifications: *Bachelor"s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. *5 or more years of hands-on experience with investment castings in regulated industries (Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive). *Knowledge of industry best practices for investment casting processes controlling dimensional and metallurgical properties. *Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T. *Experience with configuration management and quality management systems. Preferred Qualifications: *5-7 years of experience with investment casting of superalloys for aerospace components. *Proficiency in measuring dimensions of castings to ensure compliance with engineering drawings (GD&T). *Proficiency in statistical analysis, including Six Sigma methods and tools (KPIs). *Experience serving on Material Review Boards (MRBs) for nonconformance dispositioning.
