This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the assembly and development of Rocket Engine components as part of the Casting operation, located at 18410 63rd Ave NE | Arlington, WA 98223. Your expertise will also drive improvements for rocket engine component's design, maintenance, and refurbishment. Throughout the manufacturing process, you will identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules. As an integral member of the team, you will support DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and test and accelerate the pace of rocket engine development. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable human spaceflight. Special Mentions: Relocation provided Shifts available M-F Weekdays: (5AM-3:30PM) Work schedule may vary and depend on hardware and production demands Remain flexible by working overtime and weekends (when necessary) Responsibilities: Perform inspections using Penetrant Test (PT) inspection method on critical flight hardware for spaceflight system. Establish and maintain techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring adherence to all safety and specification requirements. Interpret inspection results and apply acceptance criteria identified on drawing or shop work order. Perform all necessary daily, weekly, monthly process control checks. Documentation and organization of inspection results. Interface/communicate with Engineers and/or Managers to describe inspection results. Willing to work overtime as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! 0 - 20 years of experience in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method. Experience in low rate, high mix production environment, preferably in aerospace. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, additive manufacturing, forgings, castings, and composites fabrication. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams. Utilize measuring equipment such as gauges, scales, calipers, etc. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality Skilled with the use of personal computers and Microsoft Windows based applications Willingness to perform simple, menial, and sometimes repetitive tasks Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting or standing for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting or carrying heavy materials (up to 30 lbs.) unassisted A desire to be customer-centric and actively facilitate functional solutions with minimal overhead and in a short period of time Self-motivated while working independently to prioritize projects to meet completion dates Able to work as a part of team in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and dynamic environment Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion High School Diploma or GED Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S
