Description
Fluidra ’s looking for a Fiberglass Laminator to join our team at our Plant in Arlington, WA . The p osition is Full-Time, typical hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., some overtime is possible. We value safety and provide the very best PPE to every employee.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Performs elementary and routine mix and lay-up of composite materials, fiberglass, resins, and catalysts inside mold surface using various hand tools
Works with various resins, gel-coats, fiberglass materials, foam, and structural adhesives
Repair or modify damaged or defective glass-fiber parts, checking thicknesses, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair.
Select precut fiberglass mats, cloth, and wood bracing materials as required by projects being assembled
Follow all Company guidelines regarding attendance, PPE and Safety.
Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE SEEK
E xperience with polyester and vinyl ester resins and gelcoats preferred
Exposure to composite manufacturing
Have knowledge of open mold fiberglass process
Ability to use standard power and hand tools
Able to work with/around fiberglass materials and resins
General fiberglass experience will also be considered, and training is available to the qualified candidate
Chopper gun and gelcoat gun experience is a plus
Strong attention to detail
Thrive in a fast-paced plant/ manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and provided based on the employee's position and work area
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particle s - PPE provided
The employee is occasionally required to work from an elevated position of approximately 6 feet on a flat surface and handle hazardous materials
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas
This is a manufacturing facility where fiberglass dust, dirt, and other unfavorable environmental conditions are prevalent, dust masks or respirators are required
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided based on the employee's position and exposure
