Responsibilities

  • Maintains data integrity, responsible for all data checks and mines data as directed for various projects within the Marketing Division.

  • Answers and clearly understands all guest questions relating to Direct Mail qualifications.

  • Determines Direct Mail Metric’s with the support of the Marketing Director.

  • Makes necessary corrections concerning Direct Mail strategies with proper approval from the Marketing Director.

  • Approves and monitors promotion and prizes, including point multiplier strategy and bonus incentives.

  • Recognize frequent guests and abusers of program and inform Director of Marketing.

  • Analyzes response rates and profit margins of all customer database programs, making adjustments to maximize profitability.

  • Interacts with team members and management to ensure complete understanding, execution and selling points of all promotions and events.

  • Selects, hires, trains, evaluates, terminates, and recommends salary increases for staff.

  • Reviews and monitors overall reinvestment to ensure that each campaign is profitable.

  • Works closely with Analytics’ team and maintains open communication with other departments.

  • Interacts with team members and management to ensure complete understanding, execution and selling points of all Direct Mail related topics.

  • Assists the marketing team in developing and implanting various marketing strategies, objectives, targets and plans and help develop marketing strategies.

  • Support the marketing department by helping with editing and proofreading projects and/or signage.

  • Helps support and assists the Marketing department with other areas of marketing.

  • Ensure control/protection of company assets.

  • Preforms other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Exceptional guest service skills required.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and two years directly related experience in marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience writing queries against relational databases.

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with advanced access programming and database analysis.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a marketing or I.S. environment utilizing a player tracking system or large databases; as well as extensive computer experience with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience creating mailing lists for email and direct mail campaigns using basic marketing principles; casino experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing, organizing, and completing projects within budget and time constraints. Proven problem-solving, organizational and multitasking skills are essential.

  • Demonstrated experience determining market trends, competition, potential markets, and recommending methods to expand and develop marketing operations within the gaming industry.

  • Copywriting experience preferred.

  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions. Ability to work well with multiple projects under tight deadlines in a professional manner and in an unsupervised atmosphere.

  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class III gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and Washington State.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement daily with sedentary work, occasional bending and crouching. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
