Aerotek Maintenance Mechanic in Anacortes, Washington

An amazing seafood processor and distributor is looking to add maintenance mechanics to their team!

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.

  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.

  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.

  • Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.

  • Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.

  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.

  • Sharpens and reshapes tools as necessary.

  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.

  • Repairs electrical equipment.

  • Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Production Maintenance.

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and bagging machines.

  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools to include welding machines, cutting torches and power tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

PAY

  • $22/hr-$42/hr depending on pay and experience.

SCHEDULE

  • Day, swing, and graveyards all available.
